It only happens once a year… the annual Frost Salsa Orchestra concert melding jazz and salsa traditions through well-loved songs, originals and arrangements by music director Albert De La Reguera, students and faculty. This year, the group serves up a big dose of music by Eddie Palmieri, beloved salsa pianist and bandleader. The concert features vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Pete Rodriguez, well-known salsa singer on the New York scene, as well as the ever-popular Miami-based singer Luis Serrano. The concert will also feature arrangements by Frost jazz trumpet faculty artist Brian Lynch whose duo album Simpático with The Brian Lynch/Eddie Palmieri Project won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2007.
