DADA’s Poetry Slam Team is heading to the National Poetry Slam and needs your help! Poetry Slam is performance poetry where poets have 3 minutes to present their own original works by acting out their poetry through spoken word. Five poets have competed all year long and rank among the best from the DADA team. Led by Terese “Chunky” Hill of Spitfiya Productions, she and her team want to promote literacy, writing, diversity and free thinking. In 2015, the team placed 5th in the nation out of 96 teams from all over the world, and in 2016, placed 2nd in the nation in the category “Piece Multiple Voices” at the National Poetry Slam 2016. This year they want to go for gold and they need your support. The DADA team solely relies on Community Support to get to the National Poetry Slam so come out to Arts Garage on Thursday, July 6th at 7pm!
