Throughout his education, Dr. Bianchini has had the opportunity to study at some of the most prestigious music schools in the world. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Berkeley College of Music, a master’s degree from New York University, and was recently awarded his Doctorate in jazz piano performance from the University of Texas.

Dr. Bianchini is currently on staff as a professor of jazz piano at Berkeley College of Music's La Universidad de San Francisco de Quito, in Ecuador. Prior to accepting a full-time teaching position in Ecuador, Dr. Bianchini taught as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas and as an Adjunct Professor at New York University. In addition to teaching, Dr. Bianchini continues to perform with his piano trio and his organ trio (GOT).

“Bianchini has a deft touch and a joyful delivery that can be downright alluring...The man can certainly swing on a melody with creative arrangements and a sense of time that is quite impressive...This is a successful debut by a fine pianist and a sympathetic rhythm section who know their history and mine the Songbook’s possibility with vim, vigor and a sense of modernism.” - Huffington Post

“If you have a fondness for standards (and who doesn’t?) latch onto GIANNI BIANCHINI’s, TYPE 1. This is as fresh an approach to 12 mostly well-worn standards as I’ve heard in some time. Bianchini is a special talent.” - Cadence Jazz Magazine

“The piano man's piano trio debut tackles a host of chestnuts but he makes the all modern rather than easy listening pretty music...The young gun takes you and the songs to new places, all of them a treat. Well done.” - Midwest Records
