Elio's Quartet is the winner of the 2009 International Jazz Festival in Havana, Cuba. The Quartet consists of talented musicians such as Livan Mesa on piano and keyboard, Yunior Arronte on saxophone and keyboard, Yorgis Goiricelaya on bass, and Elio Piedra on drums. All of these musicians have enjoyed a successful career in the music's industry, and have experienced music at the national and the international level.

These musicians have had the honor and opportunity to perform in a variety of venues, such as television shows, music festivals (Montreal Jazz Festival, Vancouver's "Carnaval del Sol", "and Jazz Plaza in Havana, Cuba). Furthermore, they have had the opportunity to share the stage with music stars such as Paquito de Rivera, Luis Enrique, Arturo Sandoval, Chuchito Valdes, Jennifer Holliday, Bobby Carcaces, among many others. The above-mentioned artists have all been Grammy Award winners.

Elio Piedra's Quartet was founded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Quartet's purpose was to introduce an innovative mixture of styles and sounds, ranging from Smooth Jazz, Gospel, Swing, and Funk, to Classical Music. The Quartet's roots lie in Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz, from which they derive their unique rhythms.
