The woman behind Ebony Cabaret is Desiree Parkman – an ex-Rockette and Broadway dancer with fifteen years of experience. Following in the footsteps of legendary presenters and producers before her, Desiree Parkman sought out the best in the business and developed a night of jazz, song and dance. The minute you walk in the joint, you will be transported into a world of jazz, speakeasies, burlesque and titillating sweet sounding melodies. A fusion of dance, song, jazz and poetry mixed with a bit of naughty and nice, Ebony Cabaret invites you in to see a night in the life of the Cotton Club!
The concept of Ebony Cabaret came from a love of all things Harlem Renaissance. The Cotton Club, Smalls Paradise and Minton Playhouse were communities where artists of tremendous talent united to celebrate and entertain. Ebony Cabaret speaks to a bygone era but will effectively captivate audiences of all ages.
