The Andrew Wilcox Sextet is a modern jazz ensemble led by Hartt School trained pianist Andrew Wilcox.

The compositions they perform include a variety of tunes from 70’s and 80’s jazz musicians and Andrew Wilcox’s originals. The result is a combination of intense grooves and lush, spacious harmonies. Andrew’s eclectic influences have pushed his music forward as he follows in the footsteps of progressive jazz musicians of the past.

The sextet features percussionist Yoron Israel, a prolific and gifted musician who hails from Chicago and currently serves as Chair and Professor of Percussion at Berklee College of Music. In addition to teaching and his various projects as a bandleader, Yoron’s brilliant musicality, intensity, and versatility are appreciated worldwide through consistent performances at prestigious concerts, notable festivals, and prominent clubs, as well as on more than 200 recordings as an accompanist.
