Shakespeare & Company will stage a sensory-friendly performance of Hamlet, presented by the Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare.
Sensory-friendly performances are adapted to create a more welcoming theater experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including people who are neurodivergent and first-time theatergoers. These performances may include reduced lighting and sound, pre-show guides, and a relaxed atmosphere where movement and noise are welcome. These shows are open to all patrons.
The Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare unleashes the dark and powerful tale of Shakespeare’s Hamlet: a story full of mystery, revenge, and tough choices about truth and loyalty, Hamlet follows its titular character as he learns that his uncle killed his father, the King, and now wears the crown.
The 2026 Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare is currently touring across New England, New York, and Pennsylvania. The tour will also be presenting open-captioned performances featuring “super captions” projected above the stage April 23-25.
