For two nights only, critically acclaimed theatrical company, UNIVERSES, as part of a continuing collaboration with the Long Wharf Theater, brings the next chapter of the company's "AMERICA Cycle" series to the White Heron Stage: AmericUS. Get ready for an emotional piece of theatre that will challenge your perception of this country and our place in it. UNIVERSES is preparing AmericUS for its premiere in February 2020 at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, which commissioned the piece. Performing for UNIVERSES will be Steven Sapp, Mildred Ruiz Sapp, Quest Sapp, and Asia Mark. With dramaturg, Joan Herrington. UNIVERSES is a national Ensemble Theater Company, of multi-disciplined writers and performers of color, who fuse theater, poetry, dance, jazz, hip hop, politics, down home blues and Spanish boleros to create moving, challenging and entertaining works for the stage. The group breaks the traditional theatrical bounds to create its own brand of theater.
