Saxophonist and composer Mark Sterbank is Associate Professor of Jazz Studies and Saxophone at Charleston Southern University. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music degree from the University of New Orleans, where he studies with pianist Ellis Marsalis. His first CD of original compositions Dayspring, released in 2014, was featured on Sirius XM Radio's Real Jazz. He has released two CDs of jazz hymns and spirituals and presents an annual concert featuring his Hymns and Spirituals arrangements.

Marks credits include performances with the Harry Connick, Jr. Orchestra, the Darius Rucker Big Band, the Jimmy Dorsey Band, Rene Marie, Fred Wesley, Eartha Kitt, the Temptations and regularly performs with the Quentin Baxter Quintet, the Charlton Singleton Quintet, and is tenor saxophonist and arranger for the Charleston Jazz Orchestra. On this special evening, the Mark Sterbank Quartet with perform an exciting program of Mark's original music.
