An avid multi-instrumentalist, he later began studies on piano and flute, and developed an interest in the organ in 2016 after joining the choirs at St. Philip’s Church, Charleston, SC. He studied that same year with Capers Cross, then organist and choirmaster at St. Philip’s, and continued with Dr. Julia Harlow in 2017, with whom he now studies. Eric is a graduate of the College of Charleston, where he completed double majors and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. An accomplished flutist and violinist, his other musical interests include composition. Last fall, he won a grant from the Charleston Chapter of the American Guild of Organists to compose a new work for organ, which premiered spring 2022.
