Our free Drop-In Classes are a fun and welcoming preview to what Brooklyn Improv Training (BIT) is all about. The Drop-Ins mirror elements of our Fundamentals 1 course, focusing on letting go of judgement, having Fun with a capital F, and experiencing BIT’s ensemble approach to teaching improvisation. The 90 minutes will fly by! 

THEN, join us for the afterhang at Young Ethel's [Bar & Stage] to meet and mingle with fellow students and to chat with the instructors.

Note: there is no elevator access at this time.

No previous performance or improv experience necessary. Ages 18 and up.

Brooklyn Improv Training (BIT) teaches ensemble improv: the skills of spontaneously creating, as a group, a single piece of work. Drawing from the wisdom of Viola Spolin, Keith Johnstone, Del Close, and also from 20 years of improv teaching experience in NYC and beyond, the BIT approach is experiential, on your feet, and full of joy. We teach letting go of judgment, how to stay present, and many other practical strategies to create hilarious, delightful scene work with an ensemble of players.
