Perhaps you are familiar with Goethe or Marlowe's tales of "Faust," both brooding epics of a scholar who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge. As the title suggests, this version is "Not So Faust!". Jill Rogati (director) revisits the original story in the style of Commedia dell'arte - a traditional Italian form of theatre that uses masks, physical comedy, and playful improvisation to make a solemn subject incredibly silly. While philosophy and stern contemplation of the complex nature of humanity certainly have a place, "Not So Faust!" seeks to show that loosening our belts and laughing at ourselves is just what the Doctor ordered.
