Stage and screen comic diva Sandra Bernhard who broke into the industry with the hit 1983 Martin Scorsese film The King of Comedy and well-known for her role in the TV show Roseanne delivers her unique biting blend of music and monologue with her one-woman show I Love Being Me, Don’t You?  In this 90 minute performance, accompanied by Mitch Kaplan on piano, diehard Bernhard fans will love her satirical stabs at pop culture icons, and follow her personal memories from hometown Scottsdale to adult-town L.A. and then some.  Currently on national tour, I Love Being Me, Don’t You? couldn’t be more unique and idiosyncratic. 

Well-known for her brash, in-your-face stand-up comedy routines, Bernhard has appeared in numerous films including The King of Comedy, Hudson Hawk and Dinner Rush. She has also made frequent television guest appearances, most notably on Roseanne and Will & Grace.  In 2001, Bernhard briefly hosted her own TV talk show on A&E titled The Sandra Bernhard Experience.

Raised in Arizona but born in Michigan, Bernhard began to receive attention in the late 1970s for her brash, in-your-face stand-up comedy routines. Her ferocious attacks against political and celebrity figures have become something of a calling card, and she has amassed a loyal following thanks to successful shows and subsequent albums, including Excuses for Bad Behavior, I’m Still Here, Damnit, and Hero Worship.

Bernhard has written several books, including Confessions of a Pretty Lady and Love, Love and Love. Her writing has been published in The New Yorker, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, among others.
