This all-ages performance lasts 2 hours including one 15-minute intermission. A pre-concert talk is available with ticket at 7:30pm.
¡Musica Viva!, a concert celebration of Hispanic heritage opens the Chicago Arts Orchestra’s 10th anniversary season. Featured on Chicago’s Latino Music Festival, Javier José Mendoza leads the CAO in a variety of festive works by Latin American composers including Blas Galindo, Arturo Márquez, José Pablo Moncayo, and Chicago’s own Elbio Barilari. ¡Musica Viva! begins at 8pm (7:30pm pre-concert talk) on Friday, October 2nd at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave, Chicago. Tickets start at $25 with student, senior, and group rates available.
The concert is part of the Chicago Latino Music Festival.
