The 2016 FURY Factory Festival of Ensemble and Devised Theater
Sokeo Ros in FROM REFUGEE CAMP TO PROJECT
presented by foolsFURY

NOHspace
2840 Mariposa Ave
San Francisco, CA 94110

This piece, From Refugee Camp to Project, is a one-man show that tells the story of an individual who survived the refugee camps, thus making it to the United States where he lived in a low-income neighborhood that was filled with gangs, poverty and violence. Through hip-hop dance, traditional Khmer dance, theater, story telling, and video, he will share experiences and stories from the refugee camps and urban life as to how he has tried to stay away from the negative aspects found within his environments.

Sokeo Ros hails from Providence, RI, where he is a member of the renowned Everett Company.

Every other year foolsFURY produces the FURY Factory festival of ensemble theater – an electrifying gathering of collaborative theater makers from around the country. Events include performances of stellar new works, Raw Materials works in progress series, workshops, multidisciplinary convenings and conversations, and countless opportunities to rub elbows and cross pollinate with artists and audiences members alike.

Seeing more than one show in the festival? We have great deals with 3-show ($48) and 5-show ($70) packages!
