50 for 50 Campaign (General Operating Support)
Each person at Gallery Players, from the board of directors and staff, to the actors, designers and volunteers, has pledged to make the time you spend with us a completely rewarding theater experience. This season you will be able to see three plays and three musicals, in addition to world premiere works in our Black Box New Play Festival, Players' Shakespeare, and OVERTURES a new musical reading series – each uniquely offering you the best live theater in a vibrant and intimate setting.

But our modest ticket prices don't come close to covering our rising costs. Please consider making a donation with your reservation. Your contribution is dedicated to developing and sustaining Gallery's mission: to provide the Brooklyn community with professional, quality theater at an affordable cost, to nurture and support theater artists, and to cultivate an appreciation of theater in future generations. Gallery Players is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization so your donations are fully tax-deductible.

Thank you.
Tim Sheridan Educational Fund
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected death of one of Gallery's most cherished friends and associates, Timothy Sheridan, who passed on July 23, 2020. He was 38 years old. Tim joined Gallery Players in 2011 as the assistant stage manager for Macbeth, and served as assistant stage manager and spotlight operator for numerous productions. Tim was very involved with the Black Box New Play Festival, serving as associate producer in 2017, and production stage manager in 2018 in 2019, after years as the festival's assistant stage manager. While Tim was frequently found behind the scenes, he also appeared onstage in the 2015 production of . Tim earned his BA in Theater from the University of Southern Maine, and also studied at the American Comedy Institute. His love of the theater was evident, and he was always willing to help wherever needed, both on and off-stage. He will be missed by many.

To honor Tim's memory and recognize his contributions to Gallery Players, we are raising funds for the "Tim Sheridan Educational Fund." We hope you will consider making a contribution in Tim's name toward this fund. Proceeds will be used to help fund Gallery's educational programming:

* Gallery Kids: Online workshops taught by professional theater artists devoted to musical theater, personal expression, and self-confidence. Through the program, children learn the basics of singing and dancing, as well as what it means to participate and contribute to a group. Through storytelling, theater games, art projects and performance, and with the guidance of our talented instructors, kids will not only have fun but will increase their own expressiveness and positive self-image.

* Players' Shakespeare Studio: How to Do Shakespeare: Shakespearean technique classes taught online by Broadway actor, Dominic Cuskern. This collection of online classes are open to students of all levels and experience who have an interest and desire to delve deeper into the bard's written word. Through text analysis, scene study, vocal work, and acting exercises, actors will become more comfortable with Shakespearean text and can play from a place of understanding.

* Broadway Backstage: A Musical Theater History Seminar: a new initiative offering education and enrichment opportunities for learners of all ages to gain a deeper understanding of the shows presented on our stage. Through these online lectures, theater scholar Barrie Gelles will engage learners through audio and visual presentations, while exploring topics including the history of Broadway plays and musicals and their relationship with personal identities and current social issues.
