Arts For Living: Artists Feed the L.E.S.
Arts For Living: Artists Feed the L.E.S. is a virtual program hosted by Penny Arcade raising vital funds for our Food Access Initiative.

In response to food insecurity experienced by our neighbors as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Abrons, in partnership with Henry Street Settlement and Vision Urbana, came together to meet the moment. Our Playhouse stage became a food packing and distribution center, staffed entirely by theater technicians, artists and arts workers. To date, we have distributed nearly $700,000 worth of groceries to our neighbors.
Even with the end of the pandemic on the horizon, the crisis of food insecurity will remain a significant threat to many New Yorkers.
Every dollar raised will go directly into keeping our Food Access Initiative operating.
$15.00: Can cover the value of one bag of groceries for an Lower East Side family
$50.00: Can pay for 30 pounds of apples to include in the grocery bags for multiple households
$100.00: Can buy a us another shopping cart so our staff can hand-deliver groceries to our home-bound neighbors
$300.00: Can cover the day rental cost of a truck to deliver food to our pantry locations
$1,000.00: Can purchase enough rice to feed 700 families for one week
Other amount: A gift of any amount can help us feed the most vulnerable members of our community
