Big Thinkers is a farsighted group of supporters who value smart theater and ensure Second Thought Theatre’s ability to produce a classic play biennially. For 2023 the classic play is also a world premiere. Anne-Tig-Uh-Knee by Janielle Kastner is inspired by and adapted freely from Antigone by Sophocles. This adaptation features stories about rules and when we can break them.

-Gifts $100 to $499 • Pre-rehearsal talk with Second Thought Theatre’s Artistic Director Carson McCain and Executive Director Parker Gray about the creative process and possible overlooked aspects of the production on Wednesday, October 4 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Bryant Hall • Signed copy of playbill by actors and director distributed following Opening Night • Reserved seating (with ticket purchase) with the Big Thinkers donor group on World Premiere Opening Night, Friday, October 13 at 8:00 p.m. • Recognition as a Big Thinker in the Anne-Tig-Uh-Knee playbill 

-Gifts $500 to $999 – all of the above, plus • Invitation to first reading of script by cast on Monday, September 18 • Classic Film Screening of Oedipus at the Violet Crown Cinema in West Village. Enjoy a private screening of one of the prequels to Antigone to immerse yourself in the backstory of one of the greatest trilogies of all time (Date TBD) • Opening Night Cast Party on Friday, October 13 at the home of Tara Lewis and John Swords 

-Gifts $1,000 to $4,999 – all of the above, plus • Two tickets to Anne-Tig-Uh-Knee Opening Night • “A Modern Symposium: Join a conversation with Playwright Janielle Kastner, Director Carson McCain and Dramaturg Haley Nelson about Sophocles, Actors and Classical Adaptation!” 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the home Carol and Kevin March on Friday, September 29 • Photo with Cast at Opening Night Cast Party on Friday, October 13
