Can you believe how quickly 2018 has flown by? As we reflect on this past year, it is important to take in the good as well as the bad and acknowledge the challenges this organization has faced in this relatively short amount of time. But even amidst the turbulence, The Academy has been shining brightly. The school has seen one of its highest fall enrollments, thanks to the consistent positive additions and changes to our arts education programs. It has remained a very busy place, currently running 38 classes per week with over 100 students of all ages coming through the doors on a daily basis! The playhouse is proud to have brought two regional premieres to the stage, David Ives’ The Liar this past winter, and the 2014 Tony Award winner, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder this fall. We have strived to be a welcoming organization, open to all, and thus have seen many new faces both on the stage and in our studios. Now is the time to support The Academy of Performing Arts. Despite the struggles of this year, we have continued to bring to the Cape Cod community what we do best: critically acclaimed and entertaining theater, and professional quality training and education in the performing arts. There are not many places on Cape Cod where you can see your friends, family, classmates, teacher, dentist, firefighter, banker, barista, shop owner, and neighbor shine in the performing arts in unexpected ways. We hope you will contribute to keeping the arts alive in Orleans! If you would like us to send the honoree a card in recognition of the gift, please include their mailing and/or email address in the "Notes" section.
