Skokie Theatre Executive Director Wendy Kaplan was trapped for ten days in Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria ravaged the U. S. territory. She witnessed first-hand how badly the inhabitants of the island need medical supplies, food, water, shelter, and the other basics of survival in order to rebuild their lives and communities. If you can not attend our benefit on Oct 27, please consider making a humanitarian donation. Funds will be donated to the Hispanic Federation's Unidos: Disaster Relief and Recovery Program to Support Puerto Rico, and United for Puerto Rico with the purpose of providing aid and support to the victims of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane María.
