The Cape Playhouse
General Donations to The Cape Playhouse
he Cape Playhouse is honored to announce that Doreen Bilezikian of Osterville has established a $100,000 matching donation to support the forward momentum of The Playhouse.
Mrs. Bilezikian and her late husband, Charles, were founders of the Christmas Tree Shops and have long been major philanthropists to a variety of causes on Cape Cod. “The Playhouse has always been an anchor for the cultural life of Cape Cod and an important destination for visitors and residents,” she said. “On a personal level, The Playhouse has been a source of entertainment and joy for our family for many years. I am pleased to lend this support to The Playhouse, and I invite other theatre lovers to join me in this effort.”
A Month of Gratitude 2017
Throughout the month of November, we are asking everyone to make a financial donation to The Cape Playhouse (any amount) in celebration of a special person, place, memory or event. In conjunction with your donation, send us a few sentences and a photo to accompany your donation (Brett@Capeplayhouse.com) and we will post as many of them as possible on our facebook account and even in our email blasts.
"I wanted to create a program of giving that encouraged all of us to savor the rich moments of living!" said Cape Playhouse, Managing Director, Brett A. Bernardini. "All throughout our lives, we find ourselves wishing we would have recognized someone, expressed our gratitude to a friend, celebrated a special place or memory, if we had just stopped long enough to do it." said Bernardini
Inspired by Civic Clubs who ask their members to make financial contributions at meetings to announce business opportunities or special news about friends and family, A MONTH OF GRATITUDE gives Cape Playhouse friends, the opportunity to make a difference at The Playhouse (with their financial gift) and to celebrate someone, something or a special place or memory in a public way. 2017 Annual Campaign
The 2017 Annual Fund is a year-long campaign to raise funds for operational expenditures. (This year we also have a few projects from the 2017 Gala that we the Annual Fund is partially supporting). All funds raised go directly towards to operational overhead of the organization.
Our 2017 goal is modest in that we didn’t begin an Annual Fund Campaign until mid-September. Our plan is to raise $160,000. As of the end of November, we have raised $110,000! With December on the horizon – a month that accounts for 28% of all fundraising – we are ever hopeful that we can reach our goal. With YOUR financial support, we know we can do this!
