Year-Round Programs Support
NewFest’s year-round programs shine a light on the full diversity of the LGBTQ community, and our mission is to share these programs with as many participants across New York City as possible.
Your generosity helps keep our programs running, and helps us to create new ways to engage our communities through the lens of LGBTQ film.
From screening programs like New York’s LGBT Film Festival and the accessible year-round series NewFest at The Center Presents, to educational and empowerment programs like the New Voices Filmmaker Grant and an After School Program for High School students, your contributions go a long way to sharing and creating the stories of the LGBTQ community.
We’re so grateful for your gift!
Free Ticketing Campaign
It’s so important for everyone in our community to see themselves represented on screen, and to feel like they’re not alone. NewFest creates safe spaces for the LGBTQ community to come together, and our Free Ticketing Campaign allows those who cannot afford tickets, or might otherwise feel disengaged, to be an active part of screenings and conversations.
From LGBTQ youth and seniors to low-income individuals, NewFest offers free tickets to every screening program. Through 50+ community organization partners like SAGE (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders), the Ali Forney Center for Homeless Youth, The Trevor Project and Callen-Lorde, NewFest distributes tickets so everyone feels engaged in the stories that affect us all.
We thank you for your gift to support this important program.
In honor of NewFest’s 30th Anniversary in 2018, we invite you to join our 30+30 Campaign to create NEW youth educational and empowerment programs, and to extend our current community outreach throughout the five boroughs.
These efforts will ensure the next generation of emerging voices has the tools and resources needed to tell their unique stories, as well as a platform for their diverse works to be seen and celebrated.
