The Hip Pocket Theatre Preservation Project was started in 2006 to seek out videos, images, printed materials and stories of the Hip Pocket Theatre's past to be preserved in digital format for all to see. This unique, outdoor theatre began by Johnny and Diane Simons and Douglas Balentine in 1976 has created over 240 original works, many of which were filmed and photographed in various formats. We are seeking your financial support to help us preserve this unique artistic treasure. We are actively digitizing video tapes to prevent their loss along with thousands of slides, negatives, prints and printed materials. Please consider making a donation to assist us in this effort.
