Your donations to LCT's Annual Campaign will help us continue to provide professional theatre and arts education across Kentucky and beyond! Annually LCT serves 60,000 people across the Commonwealth and is proud to hold the designation of THE STATE CHILDREN'S THEATRE OF KENTUCKY.

At the age of four, Alexandra Simpson began participating in programs at Lexington Children's Theatre. As she grew, she continued taking classes and later performed in LCT Discovery productions. From her starring roles as Annie and Lucy in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to smaller but equally memorable performances in Shrek the Musical, Seussical, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Alexandra’s presence was a delight to her fellow actors, directors, and the LCT staff. Everyone who met or worked with her was instantly charmed by her personality, intelligence, dedication, and generous spirit.

Alexandra loved theatre and the arts and deeply understood their impact on young people. The arts make us human—they teach empathy, creativity, and kindness—qualities she embodied in abundance. LCT is honored that Alexandra chose to continue supporting our mission with a memorial gift. To celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on our organization, the arts, and the community, LCT will establish the Building Dreams Capital Campaign in her memory. With Alex’s lead gift, we are launching this campaign to ensure LCT remains vibrant and vital. Inspired by Alexandra’s guiding light, we aim to raise $1,000,000 to sustain LCT as a beacon for arts education in Central Kentucky.

Through this campaign, LCT will honor Alexandra’s legacy by ensuring that young people have access to theatre and the arts for generations to come.
