A world class, intimate theatre in the heart of downtown Akron... Is a dream come true. For the past six seasons we have dreamed of our own theatre with a cool atmosphere. We have bounced throughout the city searching for a home that will serve us for years to come. We have amazing patrons that have followed us every step along the way. -- Now we are thrilled to announce that we have finally found the new home with a cool atmosphere we’ve been searching for. This April, we will be moving to WhiteSpace Creative’s home at 243 Furnace Street. We cannot wait to share this home with all of you, but first we have some work to do to transform this raw space into a world class theatre... and we need your help. Your donation to the Capital Campaign will make this dream a reality. Why Should I Give? Last year our mainstage and youth productions reached nearly 3,000 patrons. This year we are on target to hit that number if not surpass it. This new home will allow us to continue building on the quality of our productions, expanding our education programs, and developing our discovery (new works) series. Here is what we are saying: 1. From our humble beginnings using a few pieces of lumber and a curtain as a backdrop we have grown to producing six fully staged productions every year with realized sets, costumes and lighting. This new theatre will continue building upon these accomplishments to provide the best product for our patrons, actors, and guest artists. 2. Our new venue will allow us to expand our Education initiatives and student matinee series. 3. Affordability has been the cornerstone of our company since its inception. Your donation to the Capital Campaign will help us continue to keep ticket prices low and offer many special affordable ticket options.
