Question 27, Question 28
by Chay Yew
Directed by Alison De La Cruz
Featuring
Shannon Holt, Dian Kobayashi, Marilyn Tokuda and Tamlyn Tomita

What happened to the women of the Japanese American internment? How did these brave women keep hope in the American dream alive? Based on transcripts, documents, personal testimonies, and interviews with Japanese American female internees, Chay Yew’s Question 27, Question 28 is both heartwrenching and inspiring, weaving stories of the struggles, resilience and courage of detainees held in the American internment camps during World War II. #NeverAgain

Join us for the reading and a brief conversation afterwards. Audience will enter through the rear of the theatre as part of an intimate Black Box experience on the stage of the Aratani Theatre.
