		Proceeds from the Gala go to support Irondale’s theatre based learning, and community programs. Seven-time Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Alan Alda will be the recipient of the M. Edgar Rosenblum Award during Irondale Ensemble Project's 35th Anniversary benefit. The ceremony will take place on May 10, 2018 at The Norwood Club, 241 W. 14th Street, NY NY. The event will include cocktails and hearty hors'doerves,Special surprise guests, and an Art Buffet of live performance and videos. 
 The M. Edgar Rosenblum Award is Irondale’s way of honoring people that, through their work, and their core values demonstrate a commitment to enriching their own unique audiences and communities through the arts. The award is named for one of the most innovative producers in the American not-for-profit theater. It recognizes artists, public servants, educators, and community and business leaders whose actions reflect the values of the company.
 
 Proceeds from the Gala go to support Irondale’s theatre based learning, and community programs:
 
 To Protect Serve and Understand
 which brings NYPD officers and citizen activists together for 10 weeks of training in story telling, improvisation and the chance to walk in each other’s shoes
 
 The Irondale Young Companies
 which provide over 300 hours of free and low cost training in acting, playwriting, and technical skills to children and teens
 
 STEM to STEAM Science technology, Engineering Arts and Math
 which uses improvisation and actor training skills to enable young scientists, engineers and mathematicians (14-18) to present their work with clarity and passion.
