On three Mondays in June, ROKE will host a psychedelic transformation of the Meg Ryan / Nora Ephron trilogy of American romantic comedies: When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless In Seattle, and You've Got Mail, re-edited to reveal the films’ underlying mythic structure, and displayed in kaleidoscopic, circular-format ROKE-Vision. Each screening will be followed by a panel discussion of esteemed experts representing a broad range of critical perspectives, such as Marxist Theory, Gender Studies, Show Business, and Astrology. These evenings tease out the powerful mythologies at play behind the banal face of the Romantic Comedy.
