Located on the southeast part of the Evanston campus just off Sheridan Road on Campus Drive. The Wallis studio theatre space is on the west side of the Wirtz Center/Theater building facing west.

A fiercely determined young girl and aspiring pilot named B. has decided that she must realize her destiny to fly before turning ten. In a makeshift airplane built in her backyard treehouse she recounts the thrilling and legendary victories of her hero, Amelia Earhart. That night following a tremendous summer thunderstorm, a mysterious birdlike visitor takes up residence in her imaginary cockpit and B. wonders if the strange creature may be an incarnation of her hero and inspiration to finally take flight.

This is a Sensory Friendly Performance! This performance has been adapted to provide a relaxed and safe environment for students with autism, learning differences, or other sensory needs, allowing every audience member to engage with the show in a way that works for them! Modifications to the performance include: • Changes to light and sound cues to eliminate sudden changes and high volume effects • A separate sensory room if students need a break from the performance • Trained teaching artists with a background in sensory-friendly work will be on site • Fidget toys and communication devices are welcome in the theatre.
