MFA Collaboration Series 18/19 presents:
THE FLICK
By Annie Baker. Directed by Danielle Roos.
Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00PM

Hal & Martha Hyer Wallis Theater
1949 Campus Drive - Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts
on the Evanston Campus of Northwestern University
Evanston, IL 60208
Located on the southeast part of the Evanston campus just off Sheridan Road on Campus Drive. The Wallis studio theatre space is on the west side of the Wirtz Center building facing west.

This production is part of the MFA Lab series, matching Northwestern's emerging MFA directors and designers for exciting and unexpected collaborations with contemporary theatre.

In a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, three underpaid employees mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35 millimeter film projectors in the state. Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty rows, becoming more gripping than the lackluster, second-run movies shown on their screen. With keen insight and a finely-tuned comic eye, THE FLICK is a heart-rending cry for authenticity in a fast-changing world.
