Join us for JACCC's annual HINAMATSURI program, or Girl's Day, as we explore various workshops in the culinary arts,  performing arts and matrial arts in addition to a vendor & craft fair!

Hinamatsuri Onigiri Bento Workshop - 11 AM - 12:30 PM

Description: Learn to make fun, cute and tasty Hinamatsuri theme Onigiri (Rice ball) bento! 

 

Onigiri is a staple in Japanese cuisine and an important part of the culture.  It comes in many flavors and is sold by practically every convenience store in Japan. This hands-on food education class is hosted by "Wa-Shokuiku -Learn. Cook. Eat Japanese!- team from TABLE FOR TWO USA, a non-profit organization that promotes healthy eating around the world. 

 

 

Finding the funny: A comedy/storytelling workshop with Atsuko Okatsuka - 1 PM - 2:30 PM

What does it mean to find levity in tragic situations? Time may heal, but can it help you laugh again?

 

$15/workshop (regular rate)
$10/workshop (JACCC Member rate)
All Day Pass - $30 per participant / $20 JACCC Members
 
Workshops are appropriate for all ages & maximum capacity per workshop is thirty (30) participants.
