Raven Threatre is proud to host the release of Shaleka Smith's new book: Grief, I Didn't Sign Up for This. A book of interviews and stories from people navigating their grief journey. Grief can be a character-building challenge that no one volunteers for. The loss of anyone can be traumatizing and isolating. Community helps. Read the stories of people like you who are living through their grief.

Doors will open at 10am for light refreshments in the lobby and a rolling presentation in the Johnson Theatre. Folks may RSVP for any hour between 10am and 2pm, and are welcome to stay as long as they'd like until the event wraps up at 3pm.

Haven't purchased your copy of the book yet? No worries -- we'll have copies available for you at the theater. Just let us know you'd like to purchase one when you reserve your ticket!

Raven Theatre is located at 6157 N. Clark Street in Chicago on the corner of Clark & Granville in Edgewater. Limited free parking is available in the lot connected to our building, first come first serve. Additional street parking is available on Clark, Granville, and the neighborhood just south of us.
