Cock Tales
Written by Hansol Jung for The Pack
Welcome to the end of the world. Can we offer you a drink?
From Obie Award-winning playwright Hansol Jung (Wolf Play, Wild Goose Dreams) comes Cock Tales, an intimate, immersive, site-specific performance staged in real New York City apartments performed by the artist-led collective The Pack.
Equal parts ghost story, house party, and theatrical séance, this bold new bar-theater piece invites audiences into a world not unlike our own: post-crisis, mid-recovery, and craving connection.
Performed intimately for just 20–40 guests per performance, Cock Tales unfolds behind a bar and among the crowd, where mixers are stirred, memories are shaken, and a story begins to pour. Hosts and guests blur together in a funny, sexy, and gently intoxicating swirl of love, betrayal, survival, and the fictions we swallow to feel alive.
Come thirsty. Stay curious. And remember: truth, like a good drink, depends on who’s behind the bar.
