There is something very unique about the All Worn Out Jug Band. In addition to being part of the “Post-Modern” Jug Band Movement, this group performs eclectic sets that include Jug Band classics interwoven with American roots music from traditional folk to Cajun, country and gospel. As with many accomplished Jug Bands, you can expect to hear a washtub bass, dueling washboards, kazoos, whistles, and of course, a jug — but audiences also enjoy a full complement of strings including guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and Dobro, and an occasional concertina. The Band has been performing on Cape Cod for 14 years playing festivals, concerts, music series and private functions from Falmouth to Provincetown. Their 2008 self-titled CD songs has been played on WUMB and the cheap seats, they’ve played live on WOMR, and, with Chatham roots, they have been a staple of that town’s 4th of July and First Night festivities for the last 13 years. The current band's lineup includes Gregory Baird, Dr. Bud Brown, Jon Goward, Kevin Howard, Fred Jensen, John Kilroy, and Reverend Edmund Robinson and they bring a decidedly animated stage presence to performances that can have audiences laughing, toe-tapping and dancing in the aisles by the encore.
