National Theatre Live is the National Theatre's groundbreaking project to broadcast the best of British theatre live (or for US venues, delayed) from the London stage to cinemas and theaters across the UK and around the world.

Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart star in this glorious revival of Harold Pinter’s classic comedy, filmed live on stage from the West End in London. One summer's evening, two ageing writers, Hirst and Spooner, meet in a Hampstead pub and continue their drinking into the night at Hirst's stately house nearby. As the pair become increasingly inebriated, and their stories increasingly unbelievable, the lively conversation soon turns into a revealing power game, further complicated by the return home of two sinister younger men.

All patrons will be required to show proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the start of the event. All patrons will be required to wear a mask at all times while indoors. Running time for this screening is 2 hours and 45 minutes including one intermission.
