Sam Seder, comedian, writer, actor, director, producer and political talk show host of The Majority Report, moderates a conversation on financial corruption and lack of accountability for IMPACT 2012 at Culture Project. With Pulitzer Prize-winning author Chris Hedges (journalist, author, war correspondent & columnist for Truthdig), Robert Johnson, (Executive Director of the Institute for New Economic Thinking and a Senior Fellow and Director of the Global Finance Project at the Roosevelt Institute), Taylor Jo Isenberg (National Director of the Campus Network at the Roosevelt Institute) and Patrick Markee (Coalition for the Homeless).
The Civilians, a noted Obie award-winning theater company, will share performances from their Occupy Your Mindgrassroots project that is dedicated to collecting the living history of the Occupy movement through interviews and live performances. The Civilians will perform monologues crafted from interviews they conducted with Occupy demonstrators over the year offering a unique glimpse into the personal stories behind this current exercise of democracy that is leaving its mark on our nation’s history. Join Chris Hedges in the lobby after the event, where he’ll be signing copies of his latest book Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt, a collaboration with cartoonist Joe Sacco.
