Joey Gilmore’s love affair with the guitar began in his teens, when his barber bought an electric guitar, and his fascination quickly turned to obsession.

He has come a long way since those days of strumming in the barber shop. The award winning, legendary blues artist has shared the stage with luminaries like James Brown, Etta James, Bobby Bland, Little Milton, Johnny Taylor and numerous others.

In 2006, the Florida native won the International Blues Challenge - one of the most distinguished and internationally coveted awards in all of blues. He outscored all artists worldwide while showcasing his amazing talent. Two years later, he was awarded the Blewzzy award for best song, “Blues Over You”.

In 2015, Gilmore was honored with Latin World Talent Lifetime Achievement Award. He continues to soar in the music industry as one of the best soul-blues and R&B singers in the business, and a true Florida legend.
