High Energy Jazz Brass Band
Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 8:00PM

Arts Garage
94 NE 2nd Avenue
Delray Beach, FL 33444

Multi-instrumentalist Debbie Pierce has been performing in South Florida for over 20 years. She consistently delivers not just great music, but great entertainment too. An early interest in jazz and classical music, as well as the influence of Latin music absorbed from her life in South Florida and infatuation with hardcore funk, has led to an extremely varied and eclectic musical vision. Hot sax and cool vocals!

She started her musical life studying piano at the age of 7 and eventually received her Bachelors in Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University. A professional musician by the age of 16, she has shared the stage with such performers as The Drifters, Doc Sevirensen, Robert Goulet, Nancy Wilson, Benny Mardones and Eddie Money. You might have seen her at Mar-A-Lago, South Florida Ritz Carltons, The Breaker's Resort, The Biltmore Hotel… the list goes on to reflect a varied and successful career. Not confined to South Florida, she has performed all over the eastern United States and Caribbean… from the Berkshires, New York City, Cape Cod and Houston, TX to Marsh Harbor, Bahamas and Panama City, Panama.

The Pierce Band consists of some of the finest musicians in the South Florida area.

The Rhythm Section:
Guiseppe Pucci has rocked the drum chair since the beginning of the band many years ago, born in Italy, he comes to Florida directly from a stellar performing career in NYC. Nicky Orta is one of the finest bassist in the country. A music professor at U of M, he has performed all over the world with national acts, including Julio Iglesias and Gloria Estefan. Guitarist/vocalist Jessi Dee is not only a guitar whiz, but also a successful record producer. Keyboardist and singer Hal Roland performs at exclusive local venues and has established an innovative virtual piano bar online. He is also an on-air radio personality at WDNA.

The Brass Section:
Debbie Pierce performs on sax, flute and vocals.   Trumpeter Zolton Grof came to South Florida after performing with The Hungarian Radio Orchestra and touring Europe with many successful bands. Waldron Dunkley is probably one of the very few Reggae trombone and tuba players. The youngest member of the group, he is at the start of his career after studying at FSU.

The Front Line:
Darren Austin is in high demand as one of the premier male vocalist/entertainers in the area. His rich, soulful voice and captivating stage presence keep audiences mesmerized. He has recorded and performed with national acts such as Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan and Patty Labelle.

Beautiful Misty Holke is a stellar performer of the highest quality. Her ability to connect and move people with her voice is evident by the overwhelming audience response.
