Aspen, CO 81611
Known for his superb technique and captivating artistry, Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos returns to Aspen with Italian pianist and frequent collaborator Enrico Pace in a beautiful program fit for a summer evening! The two will perform Beethoven’s restless and sometimes playful four-movement Violin Sonata No. 4; the sprightly Divertimento from Stravinsky’s ballet The Fairy’s Kiss; Mozart’s only minor key violin sonata, composed during a turbulent period in his life; and Franck’s lush and lyrical violin sonata, written as a wedding gift for the violinist Eugene Ysaÿe.
