An intimate evening of brave new work conceived by Jessica Hecht, Igor Golyak, and Neena Beber featuring Alfred Molina, Danny Burstein, Jessica Hecht, and Marin Ireland. These luminaries of theatre read excerpted scenes from two new plays in this special one-night-only event.
A hotel room. A graveyard chapel. In both confined spaces, a man and a woman confront each other and their shared explosive pasts. In two contemporary drams, two writers—Lot Vekemans and Neena Beber—ask if forgiveness is possible when the trauma binding people together is unforgettable. Can grief transform into art, and can art redeem the artist? In POISON and A FOREIGN BODY, emotional duels rip open old wounds and refuse to let us look away.
