Join Teatro SEA for our interactive and bilingual one-person "mini-puppet shows" which include: The Pura Belpré Project, The Colors of Frida and Pedro Animal Falls in Love. Audiences will re-live Pura Belpré's bilingual story hour (the first Puerto Rican librarian in NYC), and hear Pura's famous tales of Pérez & Martina, Juan Bobo, and The Three Magi. In The Colors of Frida, children learn about the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, and audiences will follow the comical journey of a simple, fun-loving young man crazy-in-love with a neighborhood girl in Pedro Animal Falls in Love. All shows combine storytelling with puppets in a fun and creative way!



Micro Teatro Infantil (Micro Theater for Children) is a theatrical format representing various micro plays (15 - 20 minutes) which are performed for a maximum of 15 audience members in small, alternative spaces. Each work is performed three times so audiences will see three, 15 minute shows on this day. Tickets include all three shows (one person per ticket).
