Save by taking all three workshops for just $400.(each workshop is $150 separately)
The In-Person Audition workshop will cover how to format your resume; how to choose appropriate monologues; monologue coaching; how to approach audition scenes; how to interact with casting folks in the room/Zoom; dos and don’ts of etiquette; and how to show up as your best self.
Building on those skills, the Self-Tape session will incorporate the equipment you need to - literally - highlight yourself, how to play within the frame, how to work with an off-camera reader (whether they are in the room or remote), slating and editing tips. We will use a set up and record on a phone for feedback during the workshop.
Both workshops will take place in person, at Central Square Theater, 450 Mass Ave, Cambridge.
In-Person Audition Strategies - Sunday 11/16 5-8 pm, maximum of 6 people, $150 for the session.
Self-Tape Audition Strategies - Monday 11/17 6:30 - 9:30 pm, maximum of 6 people, $150 for the session
Elevate the Text
Even when playwrights create naturalistic dialogue there is a craft to elevating the text for audiences. When the language is heightened, it’s even more important. With several simple approaches, including building the text, diction hacks, tone color, pacing, and filling the room, you will be able to tackle any monologue or scene with authenticity and authority. And - it’s fun.
