Ticket sales covers about 80% of Ocean State Theatre Company's total operating costs. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help "bridge the gap" so OSTC can continue providing affordable and accessible live, professional theatre to the widest audience possible.

OSTC's Fund for Artistic Excellence ensures that programming and casting choices can be made at the highest artistic level, not economic ones. Although OSTC prides itself in hiring approximately 60% of it's performers and creative teams from the greater Rhode Island area, this fund allows for OSTC to also bring in unprecedented talent from outside the "local" market.

Each year OSTC spends approximately $100,000 to ensure that professional musicians play live at every musical performance at Ocean State Theatre. When many theatres are forced to play pre-recorded or "canned" music, OSTC's Live Music Initiative continues the tradition of a live, dynamic partnership between musical theatre musicians, actors and the audience.

Some of the programs OSTC's Educational Youth Engagement and Education funds support include discounted tickets for students, The Camp OSTC Scholorship Fund, internship opportunities, and study guides. In 2013, this fund helped offer six different schools discounted participation in special student matinees, underwrote two Camp OSTC scholarships and helped open professional experiences on our Mainstage to 21 local kids.

Capital Campaign donations can be made in any denomination and provide support for the completion and enhancement of our facility. Capital Campaign donations may also be eligible for 1:1 match through the Arts and Cultural Bond opportunities OSTC intends to leverage in the near future. Contributions in the range from $1,000 to $250,000 may qualify for naming rights opportunities with significant recognition.
