About the Film

When the pressures of modern family life becomes too much for lawyer Howard Wakefield (Bryan Cranston), he looks for an out. After being led into the garage attic by a wayward raccoon late one night, Howard decides to stay and observe his baffled and distraught loved ones from the window. Adapted from a short story by E.L. Doctorow, and featuring an astonishing performance by Bryan Cranston, WAKEFIELD is laced with despair, humor, irony and the never ending quest to figure out one’s place on earth.

Molloy University Performing Arts Venue
New Works by Molloy Students
The Madison Theatre will be developing new works written, directed, and performed by Molloy University CAP21 students and alumni. Our objective is to workshop and showcase these works at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival in the summer of 2025. Supporting young writers will enrich the theatre by fostering new creative ideas that expand the Molloy University artists’ perspective. Our goal is to create opportunities and outlets for young artists and their work, to meet fellow artists, and to publish their plays in a professional setting. We hope this provides more potential for success.
