The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization responsible for protecting the rich history and diverse ecology of the Sands Point Preserve, and securing its future as a meditative and enriching oasis for the community. Your 100% tax-deductible donation supports our mission to preserve this remarkable historic and natural resource for thousands of people to enjoy each year.

Tribute Orchard
A beautiful fruit tree orchard has been planted near the organic vegetable garden, on a sunny hill next to Hempstead House overlooking the Long Island Sound. The orchard not only enhances the Preserve’s grounds – it is a resource for our horticultural education programs, and its produce of fresh, healthy fruit will be donated to people in need throughout our community.
Honor your family or memorialize a loved one with a living tribute of a fruit-bearing tree that can be enjoyed today and for generations to come. The orchard is comprised of apple, cherry, peach, and pear trees. A tax-deductible donation of $2,500 covers the cost and ongoing care of one tree and a plaque that can be inscribed with your custom message.

Education Programming Fund
The Education Programming Fund supports year-round discovery for all ages and interests across the preserve:
Co-curricular programs for school visits (K-12)
Original STEAM-based nature programs for children
Horticultural programs at the new organic vegetable garden and fruit tree orchard
Custom programs for families with special needs
Expanded after-school classes for pre-K through middle school, including the new Earth Expeditions weekly experience for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders
Expanded adult nature classes, including overnight survival courses
Fitness and wellness
The annual White Party is our most important fundraising event to support ongoing and new education programs, but please consider supporting these initiatives with a tax-deductible contribution to the Education Programming Fund at any time during the year. Fairy Festival VIP package holders receive special benefits while also supporting the festival’s whimsy and joy. Select from these options and become a magical part of one of Long Island’s most beloved springtime events!
All VIP package holders receive one general admission vehicle entry ticket to the Fairy Festival plus the additional benefits listed below.
