DONATION CAMPAIGNS
York Strong!
Join us in the campaign to keep The York going strong as we entertain LIVE audiences at our beautiful space, The Theatre at St. Jeans (76th & Lexington).
With your generosity, The York will continue its mission and dedication of bringing new musicals to life, as well as rediscovering musical gems of the past.

Micki Grant Artists in Residence Program
The Micki Grant Artists in Residence Program honors the first woman to write both music and lyrics and star in her own musical on Broadway — and the first woman to get a Tony Nominations in these categories. Her contributions to musical theatre remain a testament to her visionary artistry and advocacy for inclusivity and the York is dedicated to carrying her legacy forward. This trailblazing program supports early-career creators from historically underrepresented groups in American theater, amplifying their voices through this annual award. Each resident artist will be partnered with professional mentors across all aspects of theater: playwrights, composers, directors, designers, performers, admin...offering hands-on experience to refine and build their own creative, theatrical voices. This is where the future Artistic leaders of tomorrow will come from. Join us in supporting them!
Developmental Reading Series Donation Fund
The York presents more than thirty readings of new musicals a year, giving writers, performers, and audiences the opportunity to see musicals come to life right off the page. Give to our Developmental Reading Series and help continue the future of musical theater!
Production Support
Producing a fully-staged musical at The York costs, on average, $450,000. In addition to grants and corporate support, we greatly depend on generous individual contributions. By giving towards Production Support, your donation will directly influence bringing our musicals to life.
Mildred Kayden Fund
Mildred Kayden was a gifted composer whose musicals Ionescopade and Storyville were seen on The York's stage; she was also passionate about educating younger generations of music and theatre artists. A generous donation has been made to seed a fund in her memory to provide scholarships to MTTP students and to support emerging female musical theatre writers as part of the NEO program. By giving to the Mildred Kayden Fund, you are keeping her passion and legacy alive.
