For nearly four decades, En Garde Arts has created performances in the places where this city truly lives — streets and stoops, parks and backyards, rooftops and barges, living rooms, and planetariums. Wherever New Yorkers gather, we’ve met them with bold, imaginative work that belongs to them as much as it belongs to us.
As we move towards our 40th anniversary, we’re reflecting on the last 39 years that shaped us — and looking ahead to the future we’re ready to build. The next chapter of En Garde Arts is one defined by deeper community partnerships, braver artistic collaborations, and new approaches to site-specific performance that provoke, unite, and transform.
