Your investment in Skylight’s Legacy Fund ensures that we can remain financially stable and artistically daring. By pledging support to general operating funds, you provide us with the flexibility we need to adapt and grow. We are building more than just a theatre company—we are building a future where art continues to inspire and unite.

Established in 2022, the Fund supports outstanding new plays that emerge from our playwrights-in-residence program (SkyLab) and those having LGBTQ+ writers, directors, or themes, which are produced in whole or in part by Skylight Theatre Company.  

Your support further honors actor, writer, director, producer, theatre administrator, and teacher Tony Abatemarco for his 12 years of service to Skylight and his other meaningful contributions to the American theatre.

The Michael Kearns Enhancement Fund is named for the artist-activist in honor of his contributions to Skylight Theatre Company and the Los Angeles theatre community at large for more than fifty years.

Established in 2022, this fund will enhance budgets to help develop and produce work at Skylight from voices that have been marginalized because of disability, ethnicity, gender, or race, as well as work from members of the LGBTQIA+ community and those experiencing homelessness.
