Lyric Project - Teens Program
The Lyric Project provides hundreds of inner city teens, ages 15-18, an outlet for creative expression through the art of song writing.

Lyric Project begins with classes held in detention centers and Los Angeles County high schools. From the workshop classes, 15 lyrics are selected, and the teen-lyricists work with established professional composer/songwriters to set their words to music.

Finally, at the Lyric Project Concert professional singers and dancers perform the new songs in a unique concert enhanced with video interviews celebrating not only the teens’ songs, but their lives as well.
