WINNER DRAWN OCTOBER 28TH at BEATRIX POTTER & FRIENDS HOSTED BY THE MARCK FAMILY!
Join the Peter Rabbit Raffle for a chance to hop away with a Peter Rabbit Book & Plush Box Set and a handmade child-sized Beatrix Potter Mask!
Fun fact: The first ever Peter Rabbit doll was made by Potter herself with cotton fabric and brush bristles for whiskers. Our version is softer than its predecessor with light brown fur, eager to hear the story he stars in again and again. The mask was made by CCT costume specialist Maddy Low and printed with classic Beatrix characters.
Beatrix Potter hosted by The Marck Family
The Marck Family is bringing Chicago Children's Theatre to Highland Park!
Four classic Beatrix Potter stories, including the family favorite The Tale of Peter Rabbit, have been recreated as high-quality, made-for-film puppet performances, and will be projected in the Smith's backyard. Between stories, socially distanced puppeteers and musicians will lead interactive activities, perform kid-friendly classical music, and reveal puppet surprises.
HOST: The Marck Family 312-523-9615
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28 FROM 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CT
403 Carol Court
Highland Park, IL 60035
In order to safety socially distance, we recommend only one parent attend with their kiddo(s). We will provide blankets for lawn seating and popcorn! Sunset is at 5:49 p.m. so the show will start promptly at 6 p.m.
Please RSVP no later than Thursday, October 15th so we can determine if there is room to include others.
Thank YOU for supporting this amazing company during these difficult times.
And special thanks to the Smiths for the use of their yard and the Allands for use of their equipment!
Since its launch, Chicago Children’s Theatre has served more than half-a-million children and families with productions of the highest caliber and innovative classes and camps, including groundbreaking programming for children on the autism spectrum and young people with special needs. We believe, and statistics support, that exposure to high quality arts experiences increase a child’s capacity for empathy, ultimately cultivating a more inclusive community. Beatrix Potter & Friends is part of a larger effort to continue serving our city's families despite the heavy impact of COVID-19. Pivoting quickly when quarantine began, CCT transitioned online, offering live classes and camps via zoom, virtual productions, pre-recorded activities, and community building initiatives, including a variety of programs for children on the autism spectrum. We proudly offer financial aid and pay-what-you-can opportunities.
