Adult Banned Book Series: Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women that a Movement Forgot
Written by Mikki KendallHosted by Junauda Petrus & Erin Sharkey The titles that we have selected have been challenged by lawmakers to prevent them from being taught in schools and universities, and in some cases to be available at libraries. We believe these books are valuable, enhance our understanding of the shared human experience, and are worthy of widespread audiences. The book club will include both in-person and virtual gatherings. More information will be available upon registration. Participants will be expected to provide their own copy of the book. You will need access to a laptop or phone to log into Zoom for the virtual sessions. Zoom links for virtual sessions will be sent to you a few days before each event. This is a 5-part series, 4 virtual events and wrap up event in the Penumbra Theatre. The series is free, but registration is required. |
